Stalling TricksJester or Clipper - Page 1
You kick the footbag up so that it will come down on one side of you. Then you bring the foot from the other side behind your leg and kick the footbag with it sometimes jumping from the stationary leg when you do the kick.

This is the most used trick in stalling

Variations in Routines
1. A Good Method for Mastering the Jester - You hold the footbag in your left hand and you jump up (jump off your right foot). Then you bring your right foot behind your left leg as you drop the footbag and kick it. Once you have got that mastered you can start kicking it and do the Jester without your hand. LEFTY: the same as righty but just hold the footbag in your right hand and jump off of your left foot.
2. Stalling Magic - It is done by first stalling the footbag on either of your toes (toe stall). Then by going from the toe stall to a stall on either your forehead or hat if you're wearing one. Thirdly, get the footbag to stall on your shoulder. Last but not least you should pop the footbag off your shoulder to a jester and keep on kicking. Jimmy submitted this trick and the simple Jester description for which he won a Worlds Logo Stalling Star.
3. Stallorama - Start by completing a toe stall and set it in the air from that. Tilt your head to the side and let the footbag land on one of your cheeks out of the air. Tilt your head downward and let the bag fall onto your shoulder. Pop your shoulder to make the bag fall in front of your body onto a lap stall (a Russian) as you squat. Stand up and let the bag fall down in front of your body and pinch it in the middle of your two feet. To complete the combo, roll one ankle so you are standing on the outside of the foot and push the bag onto the inside of one foot with the other foot. Then hop over your foot so the bag is stalled on the inside of one foot and behind your leg (Clipper). HIt it up and keep kicking! Sounds hard on the ankles though and if not done right you could break or sprain one.
4. Misty Kick - First you start out by kicking the footbag high enough that you can jump and throw your left leg over the footbag and as the footbag is falling back down you kick it with your right leg making your right leg go under your left leg like a Jester. Make sure you land solidly and keep kicking. You can do this with your right leg going over the footbag also.
5. Flying Clipper Rainbow - This move is a lot like a Rainbow. You start out by doing a normal Flying Clipper (where you jump up and put your kicking leg under your supporting leg and kick it -- also known as a Jester). Kick it so the footbag goes over your head and do another Flying Clipper but kicking the footbag with your opposite leg. Make it go back over your head and do another normal Flying Clipper. Do this as many times as you can without dropping it and when you are done kick the footbag up and do a normal kick or stall it on your foot. Ethan W. submitted this trick and won a free Worlds Logo Stalling Star.
6. Rainbow Jester (a different description of number 4) - First you need to know how to do a Jester. A Jester is where you bring your kicking foot behind your other leg and kick the footbag. Start off in any type of stall. I recommend the inside foot stall (a stall on the inside part of your kicking foot with your leg bent up). Pop the footbag up and over your shoulder, doing a Jester with the same foot you kicked with. Now here's the tricky part: kick the footbag back and fourth, each time switching Jesters (using your right foot, then your left foot, and so on. It takes lots of practice.
7. Shoulder to Shoulder - Toe kick the footbag into a shoulder stall (right or left, it does not matter). Then toss the footbag to your opposite shoulder into another shoulder stall. From the shoulder stall drop the footbag down and Jester it and keep right on playing. James N. submitted this trick and won a free Worlds Logo Stalling Star.
8. Flying Cloud Clipper - As you are playing, whether by yourself or in a circle, jump into the air doing a Jester form but instead of kicking the footbag with the inside of your foot use the calf of your leg to kick it. You can pull this trick off easier if you can already do a Jester. All that is different is that you kick the footbag with the calf of your leg and you have to stretch your leg further behind the other to make sure you get the calf and not the foot. Also, you might want to use a firmer footbag to keep it in play or try to kick your footbag harder.
9. Inside Foot Stall to Opposite Jester - To start out with, stall the sack on the inside of your foot (bring your leg up, bend it at the knee, bend ankle, and stall). Bring your foot down to the ground while keeping the sack on the inside of your foot. Step over the leg with the sack on it with your other leg, so that you are standing cross legged. Kick the sack up above your head by quickly bringing up the leg that the sack was stalled on. Now, while the sack is in the air, stand with your weight on the opposite leg the hack was stalled on, jump, and Jester the sack. You have just performed an awesome looking trick that will amaze others in the circle.
10. Super Dragonfly Kick - First kick the footbag up. Then pass your kicking leg over it from in to out. Then, jump and kick the footbag with the inside of the support leg. For example: bring the left leg over the footbag from in to out - then jump off the right leg and kick the footbag with the inside surface of the right foot and land on this leg. This is hard to do at first but don't get frustrated and just keep trying to do it.
11. The Show Stopper - Start with a toe stall on either foot. From there, flick the sack up and stall it on the inside of your same foot. Then do a small rainbow to stall it on the outside of your other foot. Then kick the sack back down to a toe stall on that same foot. Then from your toe flick the sack to the other side of your body and jester out of it to another circle member. Tyler submitted this combo trick and won a free Stalling Star.
12. Spin the Funky - Start off with a toe stall on the left foot and pop it up. Inside kick it with the right foot to an outside kick straight up in the air. Do a full spin to the left and inside kick it again with the right foot. Then connect with it to do a rainbow (with an outside right kick) over to an outside left kick. Pop it back over to an inside stall with the right foot. Pop it up for a right footed Clipper (that's where you jump up and put your kicking leg under your jumping leg and inside kick it - AKA Jester) to another player. Voila!
13. The Swoop Stall - First you start out with a regular toe stall. Next, flick the footbag up to about just under waist high. When the footbag reaches the peak of its height, throw the same foot you used to toe stall with over the top of the footbag, turning your body and leaving the falling footbag right next to your side. As the footbag quickly falls, turn your body another 90 degrees so your back is now to the footbag. After spinning, quickly take the same leg that you toe stalled with and went over the footbag with and swoop it behind you to catch the footbag in a Jester. Flick the footbag up and over your head and continue kicking in the new direction.
14. Impossible Jester - First stall the sack on your toe. It could be either foot. Pop the sack up in front of you so its at about eye level. As the sack comes down, jump in the air and with one fluid motion, swing your leg over the sack. Then bring your other leg up and Jester the sack. This looks awesome.
15. Outkast Jester - Start out by first doing a Jester with the left foot kicking the footbag and make it go to the right outside. Then, stall the footbag on the outside of your right foot. Next flick the footbag over your head doing a Rainbow. Then do another Jester but kick the footbag with your right foot, then stall the footbag on the outside of your left foot. The, finally, do a Super Jester. Then keep kicking. Note: A Super Jester (also known as a Misty Kick or Impossible Jester) is where you jump and make your right or left leg go over your footbag, then you kick it with the opposite leg with the style of a Jester. Drew J. submitted this combo trick and won a free Stalling Star and a 5P deCinco as prizes. This is a whole series of moves and explanations.
16. Stepping ATW Clipper - You drop the footbag into a normal clipper. Plant your clipper leg quickly. From there you do a clipper in front of your standing leg. After that you do a clipper from there and you circle the footbag (perform an Around the World) with the clipper leg. Catch the footbag with the inside of your foot like a pickup and toss the footbag in the air waist high. Plant the clipper leg quickly and perform a clipper behind your stalling leg and catch the footbag in your hand! Practice Makes Players
17. Five Star Combo - First drop your footbag onto your foot. Do a toe stall. Then from the toe stall flick the footbag over your head and stall it on the back of your neck. Then roll the footbag from your neck onto your shoulder (you might need to use the side of your head to catch it). From your shoulder, bend down like you are sitting in a chair, "A Russian", and drop the footbag into your lap. Then stand up slowly and straighten your knees and let the footbag drop onto your feet. Then flick it up and jester it out to someone else.
18. Spinning Rainbow Jester Stall - With the footbag still on the ground, stand to the left of it with your feet about 2 inches apart. Then, using whichever foot you feel comfortable using, sideways "Chicken Scratch" (a "Chicken Scratch" is where you take your foot and quickly drag the tip of your toe towards yourself and over the top of the footbag on the ground, then quickly toe flick it up causing it to rise straight up in front of you) the footbag over your right foot (don't do the toe flick just yet, cause you will mess up the trick). Once the footbag has gone over your right foot (assuming that's your dominant foot) bring your left foot straight up causing the footbag to go in front of you. Then toe stall the footbag with your opposite foot, toe flicking it up into a toe stall on your dominant foot. Then toe flick it up once more but this time as the footbag is falling, jump over it and catch the footbag in an inside foot stall BEHIND you. You then pop it up and over your shoulder while turning 90 degrees. When it hits about waist height you inside stall the footbag again with the foot you are catching it with, BEHIND your other leg (so looking like you are doing a "Jester" but not actually jumping -- a "Jester" is where you hit the footbag up then jumping up with one foot, you bring the foot you left on the ground straight up and under you as if you are trying to sit cross legged in the air while having the other leg straight forward with a slight bend in the knee). You then pop it straight up, spin a full 360 degrees, and do another inside foot stall in the "Jester" position. Do this about three times but on the 4th time instead of just catching it in an inside foot stall, let it get almost all the way to the ground and then do the inside foot stall (I like to call this the Jester Stall). Pop it over to your opposite side and Jester stall it again on that side. Then once more pop it straight up into a revert Jester (this is where you wrap your leg around the footbag from the inside out, BUT IT HAS TO BE USING YOUR NON-DOMINANT FOOT TO HIT THE FOOTBAG) and finally finish the combo by "Zombieing" the footbag to yourself and then continuing kicking it or pass it off. (A "Zombie" is where the footbag falls and hits the ground in front of you but you INSTANTLY "Chicken Scratch" it straight up to yourself --- by instantly I mean within about 1/2 second after it hits the ground). Mike B. submitted this combo trick and won a free Worlds Logo Stalling Star.
19. Heibel Jester - First do a toe stall. Then, kick the footbag up and stall it on your shoulder. Then drop it from your shoulder onto your toe doing another toe stall. Kick it one last time and catch it like you are sitting in a chair (a "Russian"). Finally, drop it under your legs and "Jester" it back into play. (Make sure your right foot is under your left foot: AKA "Jester").
20. Twisting Flying J - First start with the footbag in a toe stall, toss it up high enough so that you can jump and catch the footbag on the inside of your right foot. Then whip your right leg around the back of your left leg all before you land so that the footbag goes straight up. When you land, rotate 180 degrees and stall the footbag on the inside of the right foot but inverted. Then kick it up and complete the spin and stall it once again to finish the move.
21. Crazy - First throw the footbag up and do an "Impossible Jester" (throw the footbag up and swing your left leg over the footbag and with the other leg "Jester" it). As the footbag is on the way back down do an inside kick with your right foot. Kick it hard because you want it to go above your head and stall the footbag on the back of your neck. Then do a handstand and when ready come back down and stand up. The footbag should still be on the back of your neck. Let it roll off your right shoulder and catch the footbag in a front toe stall on your right foot. Balance is the key. THIS CAN BE DONE!
22. Twister - Start this trick with a hand spring pass (see #25) facing a wall so it will bounce back towards you. Get back to your feet and rotate 180 degrees and catch the footbag on the back of your neck. Next, jump up into the air causing the footbag to pop off your back. Rotate another 180 degrees and catch the footbag on your neck again (you may repeat this spinning part as many times as you wish). Next jump up into the air again, but this time rotate and drop to the ground to catch it in a lap stall (a "Russian"). Now, raise and tilt your body so that the footbag will roll up your chest and stall it underneath your chin. Lastly, stand upright and drop it into a Jester (either side). and continue kicking. Mike T. submitted this combo trick and won a free Worlds Logo Stalling Star.
23. Sweet Combo - Start with a toe stall. Kick it up and stall it on your head. Let it roll down to your back. Make sure to bend over so it stalls once again. Roll it down from your back to the back of your leg. Catch it in your knee pit to do a "Charlie Brown". Roll it down to your heel and kick it over your head for a "Rolling with Charlie" toe stall then "Jester" out of it.
24. Crossing Over - First you do a right toe stall. Then you throw it up and do a Super Jester with the right foot kicking the footbag. Then right after the Super Jester you do a left foot toe stall and from that you throw it up doing a Super Jester with the left foot, kicking the footbag and then go into a right foot inside stall. It's called Crossing Over because it crosses your body twice and sounds mystical. Mike M. submitted this combo trick and will receive a free Stalling Star.
25. Bonniewood Loop
This is an extremely hard trick but it will make your friends say, "no way!" First, start with an outside stall with either foot. Then, flick the footbag into a toe stall with the same foot. Then kick it into an inside stall with the same foot. Next. kick the footbag into an inside stall with your other foot. Then kick the footbag into a toe stall with that same foot and still with that foot kick it into an outside stall. Now,here is the tricky part. Kick the footbag onto your shoulder. Then, wait a second so that it counts as a stall. Then roll it to your chest with your chin, wait a second, and finally roll it to your other shoulder. Finish with a Flying Clipper and keep then go on kicking. This trick reminded me of home. Anonymouse submitted this combo trick and won a free Stalling Star if we get an address.
26. Back of the Knee Stall to Jester - Kick the footbag up to head level and let it fall down 6 to 8 inches from the side of your dominent leg. Raise your leg to the side as it falls and catch the footbag in the back of your knee by pinching it between your upper calf and lower hamstring. Now, jump into the air and gently release the footbag (don't push too hard, it will throw th e footbag too far). At the same time have your non-dominent foot swing around and kick the footbag in a Jester. Ryan V. submitted seven very well described tricks of which this is one and he won a free Matrix AND a Stalling Star.
27. Reverse Royal Jester - As the footbag falls down in front of your, intead of bringing your foot from the outside and over the footbag, you bring it from the inside and over the footbag and then kick it with the opposite foot as if you were doing a Royal Jester. Note - I believe you guys call a Royal Jester a Misty Kick, so I don't feel the need to explain what it is. Ryan V. submitted seven very well described tricks of which this is one and he won a free Matrix AND a Stalling Star.
28. Ten Point Seatbelt
To execute this trick you first have to start with a right inside kick and make it go over your right shoulder to a right Back Stab (where you kick the footbag with the bottom of your shoe making it go back over your head). Your Back Stab should kick it back over your head to a left inside kick that goes back over your left shoulder into a left Back Stab kick. Make sure that the kick gets the footbag to your right foot and then do a full Rainbow from there. A Rainbow is when you use a right or left outside kick and make it go over your head to do a left or right outside kick, making it go back over your head to another right or left outside kick and so on and so forth. From there, kick the footbag to a right inside kick then to a right outside kick ( a Mini-Rainbow) doing two full Mini-Rainbows. Then kick it to a Flying Clipper Rainbow and do that two times. A Flying Clipper Rainbow is a Rainbow with Flying Clippers on each side. After that do a right outside foot stall (or left depending on which foot you started the Flying Clipper Rainbow with) and pop that up into a left toe stall. Then with your left foot, you push the footbag onto the inside of your right foot (be careful of spraining your ankle!). Then, cross your left leg in front of your right leg and finally you lift your right foot like you are kicking your behind which should get the footbag to go in front of your where you keep kicking!!! Jeff L. submitted this combo of tricks and won a free Stalling Star.
29. The Mystery Meat
Start with a left toe stall and switch to a right toe stall. Then to an inside right stall. Throw up the footbag to do a right foot Jester and catch it with a left toe stall. Flip the footbag up and stall it on the back of the neck. Let the footbag roll off the right shoulder and stall it with a left foot Jester. Flip it up to a right foot Rainbow and hit it with a right foot Jester.
30. Toe Pinch Stall - Kick the footbag up and let it fall down the side of your dominent leg about 2 inches away. Bring your non-dominent foot around the back as if to do a Jester but instead of kicking it, pinch it between the toe of your non-dominent foot and the side of your knee of your dominent leg. It is a little tricky to get this so it may take some practice. After you get it, then pull your foot off the footbag and let it roll down your leg. Put your non-dominent foot down and lift your dominent foot to the side when the footbag reaches approximately your ankle. This will throw the footbag straight up and you can finish off with a "Back o' the Knee Stall Jester." (see #26) Ryan V. submitted seven very well described tricks of which this is one and he won a free Matrix AND a Stalling Star.
